Rewire · Certified Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement® Practitioner — Brooklyn, New York City

Meir New, certified Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement® Practitioner at Rewire in Brooklyn, NYC

"Curiosity — not correction — is where genuine change begins. That's what I bring to every session."

My Story

My path to this work didn't begin in a training room.

It began at home. My family has deep roots in movement-based work — roots that stretch back through the Feldenkrais Method and into the Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement®. My mother has been a practitioner for nearly twenty years. Growing up around her work, I absorbed more than I realized at the time.

I remember watching her study. Notes spread across the table. The summers she'd be away at trainings and come back somehow different — more precise, more present, more attuned to things most people rush past. I'd ask questions. She'd answer. And somewhere in those conversations something clicked.

What drew me in wasn't complexity. It was the opposite.

The gentleness of it. The simplicity. And a philosophy that stopped me in my tracks — the radical confidence that every person, regardless of what they've been dealt, carries within them an inherent capacity to learn and change. That difference is not a deficiency. That the way you move, think, and experience the world is not a problem to be corrected. It's a starting point.

I knew that feeling from the other direction. I know what it's like to have the things that make you who you are used to define your limits rather than your possibilities. I carried that with me for a long time.

ABM™ NeuroMovement® offered something else entirely. A practice built on the belief that curiosity — not correction — is where genuine change begins. That the brain is never finished. That there is always more possible.

I had to learn it.

My mother has been a generous guide through my own training — but the practice I bring to Rewire is my own.

What I bring to every session is not just training. It's the understanding — earned, not borrowed — of what it means to be seen as a limitation rather than a possibility. And the conviction that it doesn't have to stay that way.

That's what Rewire is. Not just a practice. A continuation.

Training & Credentials

I hold certification as an Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement® Practitioner, completed after 500 hours of formal training in the rigorous program developed by Anat Baniel — a pioneer in applying neuroplasticity principles to human movement and learning. My certification covers work with adults and adolescents.

My work is grounded in the science of how the brain creates movement, learns new patterns, and maintains the capacity to change throughout life. I continue to deepen my training through ongoing study and practice.

Beyond ABM™ NeuroMovement®, I hold training in suicide intervention and have been actively involved in mental health advocacy and public perception work — informing an awareness of nervous-system distress and lived experience that I bring to every session.

My Philosophy

I believe every person has the capacity to learn and improve. The brain is not fixed. The nervous system is not permanently stuck. With the right conditions, remarkable things become possible.

My sessions are gentle, collaborative, and always paced by you. I'm not here to fix you — I'm here to help you discover what your own brain and body are capable of.
